Charlize Theron G.L.A.A.D. to be Gay
GLAAD The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation presented its Vanguard Award to Charlize Theron at the 17th annual GLAAD Media Awards, on Saturday, for increasing "visibility and understanding in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community." The award came about, after Theron told TV's "Extra" that she and her partner, Stuart Townsend, would not wed until gay and lesbian couples attained the legal right to marry. Accepting the award at the same venue (The Kodak Theatre Hollywood) where she won her Oscar for Monster in 2003 Theron went on to say "I feel so fortunate that I am in a relationship with a wonderful man," I find it incredibly unfair that because of our sexual preference, we have the rights that we have, and that, because of someone else's sexual preference, they don't have those same rights."
As we always suspected Miss Theron has beauty, brains, class AND a conscience.
